Jesse Potterveld’s play Years in the Hundreds opened Central Works’ 27th season in 2017. His plays have been developed at Central Works, the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, and the Kenyon Playwrights Conference. He received a BA from New College of Florida, where he studied Art History and Creative Writing, before spending the remainder of his 20’s as a touring musician with the art/punk band Graffiti Death Threat. Later, he co-founded Wingtip, a social club and retail concept based in downtown San Francisco, where he also directed Arts Programming for members and the general public.

He lives and works in NYC.
